What Is “The Internet
Opportunity Gap”
and why this is of any importance to you?
It is a
gap
that exists between what small and medium-sized businesses
want (to be more
successful in the Internet economy), and the
pretty, aesthetically pleasing, but
frequently unproductive, unprofitable websites they receive from
many website designers,
programmers and graphic designers!
It represents a
potential
Internet Opportunity Gap that could
revolutionize
the way small and medium-sized local businesses deal with their prospects
and customers online!
And that’s potentially the case for
the 4 million of 25 million small businesses in the U.S. that have websites
according to Experian Marketing Solutions- August 2007. [1]
But it doesn’t stop there! The
Internet Opportunity Gap also involves the estimated 21 million small
business owners who do not currently have a website! They need to put
up a site that can get visitors, and convert those visitors to customers!
We feel these businesses without
websites are possibly missing out on many new clients and customers they
could make money from… that they won’t get. We strongly believe businesses
need to have professionally done websites that can appear at the top of
search engines…if they want to maximize their potential.
After all, it is the 21ST
Century. People do use the internet to look up businesses they want to do
business with. If a business doesn’t have a website that can be easily found
in the search engines…we feel they will have a tough time making their
business as profitable as it could be.
What we’re talking about here is…
Local
Search!
Local Search is an area of the
internet that is totally underserved. Why? Well, in our opinion, the big
search engines like Google simply can’t get to each individual business
owner, one by one, to sell them on optimizing their website for free
(organic) search engine placement…nor sell them on utilizing Pay Per Click
advertising.
Local Search represents one of the
BIGGEST GAPS on the Internet! I think you’d agree that most local searches
end in frustration for the searcher. Since most companies use website
designers who have little or no idea how to get high search engine
placement, the Local Search results often end up with the searcher having to
struggle to find what they’re looking for…or some times end up not finding
what they’re searching for at all.
Right? How many times do you go look
for a type of business in a certain local market, and get maybe a few
results, maybe few to none…yet there may be dozens of businesses in that
category with websites that can’t be found without major effort.
And we all know, that major effort
by an internet user ends in the searcher clicking around, x-ing out after a
short attempt to find what they’re looking for. (Does this describe YOU,
maybe?)
And if you check out the paid ads,
the Pay Per Click ads on Google or Yahoo, when doing a Local Search…you will
normally only see national companies’ ads, (like Ebay or Amazon or some
national company in the same category you were searching on locally) with
few to no ads from local businesses.
So…the big boys like Google do a
terrible job of helping local businesses do organic Search Engine
Optimization, and just as bad a job of selling them Pay Per Click
ads/campaign management.
This HUGE GAP, the Local Search
Gap…represents one of the most exciting opportunities in the Internet
Marketing Consulting field.
Speaking of Internet Marketing
Consultants, what these 25 million business owners may need is an Internet
Marketing Consultant. (In our admittedly biased opinion, anyway.)
What is an Internet Marketing
Consultant?
Consumers today just
want to buy the most for the least, and they want objective advice about how
to do so. Business owners don’t want to deal with a salesperson. They
want a consultant. They want objective advice about
improving their business!
As an eSpider
Squad™ franchisee, you can learn how to become a consultant of web design
and Internet marketing…not a sales person just selling web design. You
can become a Certified e-Marketing Consultant™
(a CeMC™ is a certification only
available through eSpider Squad™, and given after you complete our intensive
3 day training class to learn everything you need to know to hit the ground
running as a franchisee!)
Web design, Internet
Marketing (Search Engine Optimization, Paid Search Engine Advertising) and
Hosting are combined multi-billion dollar industries that business owners
want and need. [2]
See,
we believe many people no longer use yellow pages and search for local
businesses on the Internet. When is the last time you picked up your hard
copy Yellow Pages? Lots of people want to find local businesses on-line.
Searching directly on the internet has become the standard many people use.
Why even bother to have a website if
it won’t be found, right?
Another CRITICAL aspect to the
Internet Opportunity Gap is that most businesses that have websites have
little to no presence at the top of search engines. When the public goes
online to look up their category of business, their website does not show up
where the prospects will see it right away. So many businesses have websites
that few, if any prospects see. (Question for you: If you have a website on
the internet and no one sees it…do you really have a website?)
The
truth is that most web designers can throw up a website, and in many
cases, a very pretty one. However, they don’t understand how to design a
site that makes the business owner the money they could and should be
through proven Internet search engine marketing strategies. Very few web
design firms offer or help their clients get their websites ranked up at the
top of search engines. This represents another HUGE aspect to the Internet
Opportunity Gap!
The final, but certainly not the
least important aspect of the Internet Opportunity Gap is that most websites
don’t convert the few visitors they get…into money for the
business owner. Having your website found is critical, but if the
site repels visitors like it has got a force field blocking it…or fails to
otherwise convert the visitors into money…the site is virtually
worthless.
The main purpose of a site shouldn’t
be to get your name out there…it should be to convert visitors into cash!
Website designers in general, don’t
understand how to build a site that converts visitors into clients and
customers. They either don’t know how, or don’t care to help the business
owner create a site that converts visitors to clients. They just want to
design it, throw it up in cyberspace and move on. How does that
help the business owner make boatloads of cash?
(And that’s just in the U.S. eSpider
Squad™ isn’t showing the figures for the rest of the world, but we can
safely say that there are many businesses outside the U.S. that would
possibly want the same assistance marketing their businesses online.)
Here’s what the founders and
co-managing members of eSpider Squad™, LLC, Jeff Paul, CFP and Shawn Casey,
J.D. have to say about the Internet Opportunity Gap….
“If
you’ve spent any time online looking at potential business opportunities,
you may have heard of us. We’ve both been successful riding the wave of
Internet marketing for the last several years, and have significant
experience working with, and training small businesses in off-line direct
marketing, and online internet marketing.
We’re not saying this stuff to
brag, but we want you to understand that we both live and breathe Internet
marketing, and love nothing more than helping other folks potentially
improve their lives by starting their own Internet related business.
A while back, we realized there is a
potential opportunity available in local search engine optimization and paid
search engine advertising, in addition to small business website design and
Internet marketing consulting. We looked at each other long and hard and did
something we never thought we’d do. . .
“We
Changed Our Focus!”
We both have great businesses. . .
but it seems like every year we’ve had to start almost completely from
scratch and come up with a killer idea to keep the cash flowing in.
Always needing new products and services to keep the mortgages paid.
But in identifying the Internet
Opportunity Gap and developing a system to potentially take advantage of
it (a method we’re going to share with qualified franchisees), we found the
one thing we’d both been searching for, for so long. . .
A Relatively Low Cost, Low Overhead,
Simple Home Based, And Wonderfully Boring Business That Could Turn
Into A "Real Business". . .
Here’s How You Can
Participate In The Internet Opportunity Gap!
In order to make our dreams a
reality, we’re looking to work with entrepreneurs who are sick of slaving
away working for someone else, or who may have been laid off or retired, (or
are afraid of being laid off), and who recognize a potential opportunity
when they see it.
-
We don’t need web designers,
-
We don’t need code monkeys,
-
We don’t need copywriters,
paid search engine advertising experts, list builders, blogging mavens,
banner ad experts or anyone else who makes their living doing the actual
work of the marketing web . . . we’ve got those positions staffed,
covered and ready to go.
If you are a technical jockey,
you may really enjoy merely consulting and selling…and letting us do all the
keyboard crunching FOR your clients.
Even if you really like writing
programs and designing software/websites, you should think about this
question: Where do think you may be able to have the most success and the
best opportunity to change your future… writing programs/doing HTML code…or
consulting/selling?
Anyway, what we do need are a
select group of ambitious, driven and motivated franchisees to take
our system out into the business world and place it in use in businesses
that want it”
